Our stone built and newly re-furbished Inn has 28 en-suite bedrooms. The Bar and Snug have log beams, oak floors, open fires and an eclectic mix of wooden period furniture. Located in over 100 acres of grounds, we overlook Beamish and are just a short drive away from the business and shopping centres of the Metro Centre in Gateshead, only 8 minutes away and the Cities of Newcastle and Durham with World Heritage Site Status. We overlook Beamish Museum, one of Europe's largest Open Air Museum's and other attraction nearby include Tanfield Steam Railway which is less than a mile away. The Inn is also adjacent to South Causey Equestrian Centre, which houses 45 horses and a lively Riding School! Open all year. Archery instruction also available, as well as Air Rifle Shooting and Clay Pigeon Shooting. Plenty of free parking available. . Full Meeting Room facilities available. Discounted tickets for Beamish Museum (during Beamish Museums Summer season) and Tanfield Railway available.

From the South:Exit the A1(M) at Junction 63Follow the A693 signposted 'Stanley' and Beamish Museum.At the Beamish Museum roundabout continue forward up the hill. At the top of the hill turn right following signposts to Gateshead and the A6076. You will arrive at a junction with a petrol station on your left. Turn right.South Causey is 300 yards along this road on your rightWelcome!From the North:While travelling south on the A1 you will pass the Metro Centre on your left.Follow signs for Consett on the A692.You will pass through the village of Sunniside. At the second set of traffic lights (with the Potters Wheel Public House on the left) turn left.Follow this road for approx 3 miles.The South Causey is on your left (before you reach the 30MPH signs)
